Jacob Piller (born April 17th 1990) is an American fingerboarder and owner of Tribute fingerboards.

Career

Jacob began fingerboarding originally from playing Tony Hawk 1. After playing the game, he wanted to recreate the tricks that were present in the video game. With the help of a friend who introduced Jacob to his first fingerboard, he was able to finally begin mimicking the tricks without injuring himself. After a few years of honing his craft, Jacob decided it was time to develop a style that he felt was unique.

His inspiration shifted from the video game to what the video game was based on; Skateboarding. The trick selection for Jacob became one that placed emphasis on a realistic approach, opting to stray from tricks that would be considered “insane” to something more close to what a person would actually do on a fingerboard. As of 2010, Jacob opened a fingerboard company called Tribute Fingerboards with graphic inspired by his own hand drawn art.
