Decks |
Tribute fingerboards is a deck company run by Jacob Piller. Created in 2010, the company offers both regular and mellow styled decks as well a custom and original graphics.
Concept
The company started June of 2010 with the hopes of giving the fingerboarding community a cheaper alternative to the high priced standard. While not meant to step on toes, the hope of the company is to provide a starting point for those who are unsure on if they wish to acquire the higher priced decks. It has been stated by Jacob that though the decks are substantially cheaper in price, the quality won't be. The intend is not to be a competitor to the bigger named companies but to simply offer access to wooden decks to the average or beginner fingerboarder. Tribute does this as well as offer custom and original graphics drawn by Jacob himself.
Controversy
Due to certain issues in late 2010, Tribute was placed in a corner because of late production time. The tools to create the decks were lost from Jacob and it was either hault production or close Tribute all together. Luckily, Jacob was given items he needed from Todd Cuzzort and he has since been able to create decks. Whats more is that Tribute will be moving to a new mold within this 2011 year.
